One person’s trash is another person’s treassure

I have been looking for a decent table top power supply for quite some time. I don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars to buy or make one. Recently on the blog dangerous prototypes they have been adding a bunch of ATX break out board for power supply. I have already used these and they are pretty awesome. The only problem was the size of these SMPS. In my school last year the IT department was throwing out a bunch of stuff they won’t be using anymore. Of which as you guessed was a SMPS. This one was way slim and was perfect. So all i did was just cut some wires added a switch, caps and led’s and there we go, I got an awesome supply. I can get 3.3V, 5V and 12V from this supply.
